When having any gas cooker fitted in a property you own, it is imperative for the work to be completed by a competent Gas Safe registered gas cooker installer. A Gas Safe cooker installer will carry a Gas Safe ID card which will include a photograph, a unique licence number and state the gas items they are allowed to install. Any appliance fitted by someone that is not a Gas Safe registered installer is classed as illegal work.
