Gas Cooker Installers recently visited a property in SW18 Wandsworth, which was due to be rented out, to disconnect a gas hob and install a new cooker. Upon arrival at the property in SW18 Wandsworth our gas cooker fitter began to disconnect the old gas hob when he realised the previous connection hadn’t been very secure. Our gas cooker fitter was shocked that the unsafe connection had not caused an accident and showed the customer. The customer, Ms Noshin had then explained to our engineer that the previous gas hob was installed by an old friend who wasn’t qualified. Our gas cooker fitter ensured the new gas cooker was installed correctly and the connection was made safe.
Gas work should never be attempted by anyone other than a qualified professional. Anyone who completes gas work whilst not being Gas Safe registered is breaking the law.
