Two illegal gas installers put lives at risk after poorly installing a gas cooker in a block of flats in E8 Hackney. The gas installers fitted the cooker in the property in E8 Hackney which was due to be rented out by a landlord once the gas cooker installation was completed. After a complaint was made by the tenant, an investigation began which had identified a number of problems with the installation of the gas cooker. Both gas installers admitted breaching regulations and received a 2 year conditional discharge and were ordered to pay £250 each.
