To replace an oven, our Gas Cooker Installers team convey heavily that you must first switch off all power that is connected to the oven that is to be replaced to purge any harmful risks. If the oven is gas, any gas powers that are connected to the gas oven must be shut off in order to replace the oven safely. This should only be done by a competent, fully qualified Gas Safe engineer.

To replace an oven, the oven’s door must be taken off, as to be able to replace the old oven with ease. To take off the oven’s door in order to replace it, the bolts that are keeping the oven’s door in place will need to be un-screwed. To then remove the whole oven in order to replace it, all the screws that are keeping the oven in place will need to be taken out. After doing so, our engineer can remove the oven from the cabinet space in order for it to be replaced.

The next step to replace an oven is to disengage the oven’s wiring from the wall. This is so when the oven is replaced, the new wiring of the oven can be connected to the wall. If the oven that you are to replace is a gas powered oven, our Gas Cooker Installers engineers stress that all gas lines need to be severed from the gas oven by a qualified gas engineer.

In continuing to replace an oven, the oven’s door must be removed in the same or similar method that was used to remove the door of the old oven. To replace the oven, the wiring of the new oven needs to be attached to the wall connector.

To replace an oven, the new oven should be placed into the desired space and should be installed with the screws and fixtures provided in order to replace the oven safely and securely. The oven door of the replacement oven will need to be attached, yet again, with the screws provided.
